Hockey Club
One of Pretoria’s premier field hockey teams since 1952. Based at Hofmeyr Park, we pride ourselves on fostering both competitive and social hockey environments. Explore our rich history, recent achievements, and how you can become part of our hockey family!
About Us
The PHSOB Hockey Club has served as a hub for hockey enthusiasts in Pretoria for over seven decades. Our teams, including men’s and women’s squads, compete in the Northerns Premier League and various other divisions. Known for developing top players, many of our members have represented South Africa on the international stage.
Teams
Our club fields teams in the NBHA league:
Men’s Teams:
Three teams competing in Premier and other divisions.
One team in the Master’s League.
Women’s Teams:
Two teams competing across various divisions.
"Hockey on the Hill"
“Hockey on the Hill” for junior players is hosted at the “The Hill Astro” at PBHS on a Friday and is a great way for young players to have fun with friends and other players and spend time working on individual skills.
While the club has a strong link to PBHS we welcome scholars from all schools in the surrounding area with a focus on men, ladies and youth.
A Family Club
From Juniors to Senior and even Masters, we have always been proud to produce quality players, who go on to represent their province and country.
